Almost 8 Months Without Self Harm

29/1/2018

Going almost 8 months without self harm is a huge achievement for me, I feel great about it. The thing that has helped me do this and break apart from self harm and suicide.
  • Blogging. This has helped me when I'm writing down my thoughts and feelings, getting it out of my mind and onto paper. It feels amazing. After it's on paper I can then burn it and watch the cruel words burn away and turn to ash. There is something worthwhile and satisfying, sort of like a placebo for putting words onto paper and destroying it. This lasts for a day or two depending how much I have wrote and burned.

What do others do to cope instead of self destructive behaviours? Email me or comment below!
